Keep resale, transfer and fraud checks as three separate evidence trails<\/h4>\n

The FIFA Marketplace charged both buyer and seller a fee equal to 15% of the total price, and a listing was never guaranteed to sell. Mexico Exchange listings and Toronto Stadium listings in Ontario were limited to the original total price or less. Ticket Transfer assigned the full ticket rights to another FIFA account. Once accepted, the new holder could use the ticket, send it to a guest, transfer it again or list it on the official marketplace. FIFA discouraged transfers to third-party platforms or accounts. All tournament tickets appeared in the FWC2026 Mobile Tickets app; screenshots, printouts and PDFs were not accepted, and the entry QR code appeared only a few hours before gates opened. The Competition Bureau identifies ticket photos or screenshots, pressure to pay immediately, cryptocurrency and prepaid gift cards as warning signs. It recommends checking the official date, venue and seating map, keeping receipts and using a payment method with dispute protection. A useful 2026 record includes the FIFA confirmation, transaction details, transfer status and payment record. Suspected fraud can be reported to the platform, payment provider and Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre as directed by the Competition Bureau.
