Tourism Whistler describes the drive from Vancouver along Highway 99 as about 120 kilometres; that is not the distance from every hotel or YVR, nor a promise of a two-hour journey. A village visit, sightseeing lift ride, ski lesson and downhill bike day each require different tickets, equipment and amounts of time. Official information · Tourism Whistler. Official information · Tourism Whistler.

Whistler Blackcomb spans two ski mountains. Tourism Whistler lists 8,171 acres, approximately 3,307 hectares, of terrain and 37 lifts. Both mountains have beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain; Blackcomb is not exclusively for experts. The summit’s ten-year average annual snowfall of 10.4 metres describes past measurements, not the snow during your visit or a guarantee that every run will open. Official information · Tourism Whistler.

As checked on October 11, 2026, that year’s Whistler summer sightseeing ended September 20; Blackcomb sightseeing and PEAK 2 PEAK ended September 7. Whistler Village Gondola has been closed since September 21. The Bike Park has a separate schedule through October 12 via Fitzsimmons Express, which does not mean sightseeing gondolas remain open. The operator lists a winter opening event for November 20, subject to weather and conditions; it is not a promise that all terrain will open that day. Official information · Whistler Blackcomb.

Match a winter ticket to the season and the exact product. The official 2026/27 range includes Epic Pass, Whistler Blackcomb Unlimited Season Pass and one- to ten-day Whistler Blackcomb Day Passes. EDGE Cards are restricted to residents of Canada and Washington State. Access days, peak-date restrictions and participating resorts vary; restricted Day Passes and Epic Local Pass do not work on every date. Compare lift access, lessons, rentals and taxes separately, and check the currency rather than comparing advertised starting prices alone. Official information · Whistler Blackcomb. Official information · Whistler Blackcomb.

For a first ski or snowboard lesson, choose by age and current ability; the instructor confirms placement at the start. Rentals are not included as standard, and lift tickets are not included as standard except in programming for ages three to six. Read your package details. Bring suitable equipment, waterproof layers, gloves and goggles; helmets are mandatory in children’s lessons. A parent or guardian must attend drop-off for minors and pick-up for children aged three to twelve, with an emergency contact reachable throughout the lesson. Official information · Whistler Blackcomb.

Non-skiers can choose sightseeing products during their operating season. PEAK 2 PEAK connects the two mountains over about 4.4 kilometres, with an approximately eleven-minute ride; that excludes getting up from the village, queues and descent. The 2026 summer ticket covers one sightseeing trip up, repeated PEAK 2 PEAK rides within that trip and one descent. It is not unlimited return travel from the village or a summer ski ticket. The September 8–20 fall sightseeing product did not offer an operating PEAK 2 PEAK connection. Official information · Tourism Whistler. Official information · Whistler Blackcomb.

For a gentler walk or cycle, plan with the municipality’s Valley Trail map. This paved shared-use network extends over 50 kilometres through the village, neighbourhoods and parks, with some gaps and sections without lighting. Roughly 38 kilometres receive winter maintenance, but clearing priorities can delay other sections and snow or ice may remain. The section from Whistler Community Secondary School to Emerald Estates closes November through April. A mapped route is not automatically accessible year-round or suitable for every rider. Official information · Resort Municipality of Whistler.

Downhill riding in Whistler Mountain Bike Park is different from recreational cycling on the Valley Trail. Match your speed, trail difficulty and bike to your skills. Official guidance makes helmets mandatory and recommends full-face helmets, gloves, armour and full suspension; each wheel needs a working brake. Children under five are not admitted. Those twelve and under must ride with a parent or legal guardian aged nineteen or older; accompaniment is strongly recommended for ages thirteen to fifteen. Consider introductory coaching, and do not assume a sightseeing ticket, bike rental or winter pass includes Bike Park access. Official information · Tourism Whistler.

The Adventure Group operates Superfly Ziplines around Cougar Mountain, with four paired lines allowing two people to ride alongside each other on separate cables. Current limits are age six or older and 60–250 pounds, or 27–113 kilograms. Ages six to twelve need a paying adult aged nineteen or older on the tour, with at most five children per adult; ages thirteen to fifteen also have adult supervision requirements at basecamp or on the tour. Wear secure closed-toe shoes, complete waivers and check in fifteen minutes early. Follow the booking’s meeting and shuttle details; another company’s two-kilometre zipline specifications do not describe Superfly. Official information · The Adventure Group.

Audain Art Museum offers an indoor village option when mountain conditions are unsuitable. Regular opening is Thursday through Monday, 11 a.m.–6 p.m.; Tuesday and Wednesday are closed, with separate holiday hours. General admission is free for ages eighteen and under, but children under twelve must still have an adult with them. Backpacks, food and bottled water cannot enter the galleries; storage is available. The museum is at 4350 Blackcomb Way, between municipal Day Lots 3 and 4. Official information · Audain Art Museum.

Scandinave Spa is at 8010 Mons Road, separate from the village lifts. Walk-in Thermal Journey access depends on capacity. The site requires silence and no electronic devices, prohibits outside food and does not allow re-entry after leaving. Current official terms allow unsupervised access from sixteen; fourteen- and fifteen-year-olds need a parent or legal guardian throughout. In British Columbia, guests under nineteen also need identification, a designated form and emergency-contact information; only an RMT may massage a minor. Check the chosen service’s conditions before bringing teenagers rather than treating the spa as an unrestricted family pool. Official information · Scandinave Spa. Official information · Scandinave Spa.

Without a car, compare YVR Skylynx and other operators actually serving Whistler. Airport and downtown departures use different stops, and your accommodation may be beyond Whistler Village’s Gateway Loop. Treat a service as door-to-door only when it explicitly includes hotel transfers. Check both directions for your dates, allow time for immigration and baggage collection, and read ski or bike baggage limits and cancellation terms. Leave a buffer for traffic and airport check-in; a scheduled arrival is not a guarantee of making a flight. Official information · Tourism Whistler.

Before driving Highway 99, check road conditions and the designated winter-tire sections. B.C.’s official South Coast map marks the designated Highway 99 route from Horseshoe Bay towards Whistler for October 1–March 31. Other provincial routes may run to April 30, and municipal or private roads can have different requirements. A legal passenger-vehicle winter tire needs an M+S or three-peak mountain snowflake mark and at least 3.5 millimetres of tread. The province recommends the snowflake type for cold-weather driving. Four-wheel drive does not remove tire requirements, and chains on summer tires do not replace legal winter tires on signed highways. Official information · Government of British Columbia. Official information · Government of British Columbia. Official information · Government of British Columbia.

Check the specific parking lot. At review, municipal Day Lots 1–5 charge year-round from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; standard-vehicle daily rates are CAD21 in Lots 1–3 and CAD13 in Lots 4–5. Oversize vehicles, other municipal lots and private hotel garages have separate rates. Lots 1–5 and the Oversized Lot prohibit parking 3–6 a.m. November 1–March 31; paying a daily rate does not authorize overnight winter parking. Spaces are limited and permits do not guarantee one. Charging in a paid lot incurs both parking and charging fees. Official information · Resort Municipality of Whistler.

Locate the accommodation on the village and lift maps before choosing a room. Hotels, condominiums and some ski-in, ski-out properties serve Whistler, but a Whistler address does not mean you can ski to the door. Compare walking routes, shuttles, rental collection and luggage handling together. Use the same dates, party size and cancellation terms to compare total prices with tax, then add parking and activity tickets. A fixed year-round room range or guaranteed saving from booking two months ahead cannot replace an actual quote. Official information · Tourism Whistler.

For one day, choose among a village walk, the museum or a confirmed available activity for which you meet the requirements. For lessons, downhill biking or sightseeing lifts, check each season, meeting time and last lift before allowing time for equipment and travel. This is a planning approach, not a promise that everything fits in a day. For the Vancouver portion, use our Vancouver guide; reserve products that are actually available on your activity dates after arranging accommodation and transport. Official information · Whistler Blackcomb.

Plan Whistler skiing, sightseeing and summer activities with verified ticket, age, shuttle, winter-tire and parking conditions.

2026summer ends September7/20, VillageGondola closure September21;
