This article reviews the ticket categories, seat records and pricing information used at Toronto Stadium; it is not a current buying guide. The City’s July 20 record confirms six matches. Its March 24 stadium update described temporary seating at Exhibition Place, increasing capacity from about 28,000 to about 45,000, with removal planned after the tournament. The old World Cup configuration should therefore not be treated as the seating map for other events at BMO Field today. City of Toronto. City of Toronto.

FIFA’s standard tickets used Categories 1–4. Category 1 was the highest-priced and primarily in the lower tier; Category 2 included lower- and upper-tier areas; Category 3 was typically in the upper tier; Category 4 occupied upper-tier areas outside the other three and was the least expensive category in that scheme. These descriptions did not guarantee a midfield seat in Category 1 or establish an individual Category 4 seat’s location or view. Tickets allocated through participating member associations had separate Supporter tiers, which should not simply be equated with standard categories. Not every category was available in every sales phase. FIFA.

A price also needs its match, currency, sales phase and ticket type. FIFA described variable pricing based on reviews of demand and availability, while explicitly saying that World Cup 2026 did not use automatically changing dynamic prices. We have withdrawn the old article’s match-by-match Canadian-dollar table and resale transaction ranges because they could not be reconstructed from dated original offers. A listing at one moment was not a fixed price for an entire match and cannot guarantee a budget for the next tournament. FIFA.

A category did not make a seat assignment permanent. FIFA’s historical rules allowed reassignment even after tickets were downloaded, provided the new seat was in the same or a higher category, without a downgrade. This does not establish that any reader’s seat changed or that all seats in one category offered the same view. When reviewing an old order, check the purchased category, actual section, row and seat, and any subsequent notices separately; price alone cannot identify a seat. FIFA.

Obstructed views had a separate disclosure process. FIFA’s historical documentation said the information appeared on the seat map, in the shopping cart and in the purchase summary. Adjacent or consecutive seats might not be available. Purchasers could not change their selected seats after buying, although FIFA retained its relocation rights. An individual transaction needs its own seating and purchase records. An exterior photograph or an ordinary stadium diagram cannot guarantee an unobstructed view or establish a right to a refund. FIFA.

To review your historical spending, record the order total, currency, fees, match, ticket type and seat details together, distinguishing a quote from an actual payment or resale proceeds. We have not verified any reader’s transaction and provide no buying link for ended matches. Future events at the same stadium require their own ticket documents and seating maps; the 2026 rules should not be assumed to apply.

Review Toronto’s temporary World Cup layout, FIFA categories and obstructed-view disclosures.
