The 2026 World Cup has ended. This review explains the historical FIFA seller process so readers can interpret old transaction records; it is not a notice that listings can still be submitted. FIFA said tickets originally bought through FIFA.com\/tickets during an official sales phase could be submitted to its resale or exchange marketplace. A listing did not guarantee a buyer. Canadian, American and international residents used the Resale Marketplace, while residents of Mexico used the Exchange Marketplace. Their conditions and payment methods were not interchangeable. The historical listing process began at the FIFA ticketing entry point: sign in, verify access using a code sent to the registered email address, choose the match and tickets, set a price, accept the legal terms and submit. Those steps established a listing request, not immediate market visibility or a completed sale. When reviewing an old record, distinguish tickets held in the account, a submitted listing and a sale confirmation. A login screen or a screenshot of a completed action did not guarantee the safety of a separate private transaction. FIFA<\/a>.<\/p>\n

FIFA recorded that a submitted listing could take time to appear. The submitted price was locked; changing it required withdrawal and a new submission. The original-price cap resulting from Ontario legislation applied to Toronto Stadium matches, not uniformly across Canada. Nor should the price displayed to a buyer be treated as the seller\u2019s net payment. Resale fees, applicable taxes and other deductions must be checked against their respective transaction records. Withdrawal was conditional too. FIFA said a ticket could be withdrawn only if it had not sold, the applicable resale period had not ended, it was not in another customer\u2019s cart and the platform was not undergoing scheduled maintenance. My Tickets offered individual and bulk removal options. Those buttons could not undo a completed sale. A disappeared listing was not, by itself, proof of sale; a promise that cancellation was immediate at any time also ignored the different transaction states. FIFA<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For confirmation of a successful sale, FIFA specified its resale or exchange confirmation email to the seller. Other communications from FIFA or third parties did not count as that confirmation, and FIFA stated that all ticket sales were final. A successful submission, an interested buyer, a cart or another notification could not replace the sale record. We have not accessed readers\u2019 accounts or verified individual sales. Conflicting old records should be retained with the order number and original notices for an inquiry to FIFA Ticketing; bank details should not be posted publicly. FIFA<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Payment was a separate stage. FIFA\u2019s historical explanation specified payment within 60 calendar days of the new buyer\u2019s purchase, or a shorter period required by applicable law, provided all terms were met and the required payment information had been submitted. The amount was the resale or exchange price less fees, applicable taxes and other deductions. Resale Marketplace payments were by bank transfer; Mexico\u2019s Exchange Marketplace refunds went to the card used for the original purchase. Neither universal original-card refunds nor instant payment was promised. These were FIFA\u2019s stated conditions, not our guarantee for an individual payment.
