Vancouver’s March 5 announcement planned 28 selected match-viewing and celebration days at Hastings Park, PNE, within June 11–July 19. Those start and end dates did not mean daily opening. This is a historical schedule, not an event still available to attend. City of Vancouver Host Committee.

Vancouver’s general admission was free but capacity-limited, without guaranteed seating or unrestricted re-entry. Premium options included reserved amphitheatre seating and fast-track entry. Free general access and paid benefits must be distinguished: describing a free festival did not make every seat or service free, or remove attendance limits. Vancouver Host Committee.

Vancouver’s rules permitted screened bags up to 30 × 30 × 15 centimetres. Ordinary drinking containers had to be empty, no larger than one litre, and neither glass nor steel/metal. Medical, disability and infant-care needs had separate exceptions. These historical venue rules were not a universal clear-bag policy for Toronto, other festivals or every stadium. Vancouver Host Committee.

Toronto’s festival took place at Fort York and The Bentway. Organisers required advance digital tickets for everyone over two; free general admission remained capacity-limited, with extra tickets released up to five days before each event and same-day availability dependent on capacity. Premium options were sold separately. These were historical arrangements for an event that has ended, not current ticket or entry information. Toronto Host Committee. City of Toronto. See also the Toronto Host Committee entry guidelines.

Toronto’s preliminary July 20 report recorded 23 festival days and more than 350,000 cumulative visits, not that many unique people or daily visitors. The city separately reported about 250,000 stadium visits across six matches. Those venue totals are not interchangeable. Vancouver’s 28 planned days and Toronto’s 23 reported days also cannot be treated as a plan-versus-outcome comparison for one city. City of Toronto. City of Vancouver Host Committee.

The original claim that ten American countries created a joint tourism mechanism lacked a supporting named agreement and has been removed. The two cities’ festival documents do not establish an international tourism partnership or accommodation savings. A useful comparison rests on documented cities, venues, dates, tickets and capacity conditions.
