Applied to 15:00, these correspond to 12:00, 11:00 and 13:00. This is a calculation from published arrangements, not confirmation that every gate actually opened at that exact minute, or a permanent schedule for other BC Place events.

The guide identifies Pacific Boulevard as the spectator approach and Main Street–Science World as the main arrival and transport meeting point. It also explicitly says entry points can vary with ticket type, accessibility needs and other requirements. It lists access to the spectator route via the Keefer steps from Stadium–Chinatown while the lower station level was closed. A route involving steps must not be presented as a step-free option.

TransLink’s March 3, 2026 advance plan emphasized Main Street–Science World and explained how the secure perimeter affected approaches from nearby stations. The retained host guide gives more detailed walking and accessibility arrangements. These sources do not justify a blanket instruction that every ticket holder had only one station and one entrance, or that a closed lower station level made every walking route impossible. An undated retained webpage also cannot reconstruct the controls in force at every moment on June 18.

Situation

Distinction in the retained official guidance

How to interpret it

General transit arrival

Main Street–Science World was the principal recommended arrival point, followed by the spectator route.

A tournament arrangement, not a mandatory station for every event today.

Walking from Stadium–Chinatown or downtown

The guide lists the Keefer steps and other connecting points.

Steps are not step-free access or permission to cross any controlled area.

Accessibility needs or specific ticket types

Separate drop-off and support arrangements were listed; entry points could differ.

General walking directions cannot replace individual ticket or accessibility instructions.

Bag policies also need their event context. The host guide directed spectators to choose BC Place Vancouver in the official FIFA app and read its Clear Bag Policy, warning that World Cup rules differed from normal events. A complete June 18 app list was not available for verification in this review, so the old numerical limits and blanket prohibited-items list are not repeated. That does not mean there was no clear-bag requirement. BC Place’s current normal-event policy separately allows possible exceptions for diaper bags and medically necessary items; it is not retrospective proof of the FIFA match rules.

Extra services and later last trains had conditions too. The TransLink advance plan assigned the additional hour of SkyTrain service to local matches starting at 20:00 or later. This fixture began at 15:00, so that late-match provision cannot simply be applied to it. Planned empty trains after matches, temporary shuttles and restrictions belong to the tournament plan, not today’s return timetable.

Separate the Fan Festival from a visit today

The official Fan Festival travel guide places the event at the PNE Grounds in Hastings Park, within June 11–July 19, 2026. That window did not mean daily opening: the retained official schedule describes 28 programmed days with individual opening times. This is a reference to the published programme, not an independently verified record that every scheduled day operated exactly as planned.

The Fan Festival and BC Place were separate venues. General admission and some viewing areas were free, but first-come access, capacity limits and screening still applied; premium Amphitheatre experiences had separate ticket conditions. Festival access was not a stadium match ticket, and free access did not guarantee immediate entry. These 2026 events are over; old purchase buttons on retained pages do not establish a current event.

For a visit to Vancouver or another BC Place event now, establish the actual date and entry instructions, then check outward and return transport, the final walking segment and any accessibility support. TransLink’s transfer and AddFare guidance already records changes effective July 1, 2026. Costs also depend on ticket type, payment, zones and transfer conditions. The old “about CAD 3” cannot describe every June journey or all current fares, and this guide does not replace it with another universal number.

Compare accommodation by actual arrival points, walking needs, luggage, return services and cancellation terms. Do not assume one neighbourhood is always easiest or that prices must rise after a match. Leave time and budget flexibility, and do not navigate today using an old event closure map.
