Granville Island Public Market: Hours and How to Get There

Information checked October 8, 2026. Granville Island Public Market is an indoor market on Granville Island, with food, produce and artisan goods. Decide whether you are visiting to eat, shop or browse, then plan the short walk from your chosen stop or dock.

The market’s official page currently lists regular hours as 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. It also says the market closes on December 25, 26 and January 1, and on Mondays in January for annual maintenance. Individual shops, restaurants and other venues can keep different hours, so check the business you plan to visit and the day’s notices; the market’s hours do not guarantee every stall is open.

For transit, TransLink’s timetable effective April 20, 2026 lists route 50 at West 2nd Avenue and Anderson. The island’s official transportation page also describes the #50 bus and ferry access by Aquabus or False Creek Ferries. Docks and sailing patterns differ, so check the day’s service with Aquabus or the operator you plan to use. Leave time for the final walk and your return connection.

The market can fit into a False Creek walk, but Granville Island is not one venue with a single operating schedule. Our Vancouver guide can help you plan the rest of your city visit around your starting point.
