The City of Richmond’s area plans distinguish City Centre, Bridgeport and Steveston. Choose by the places on your itinerary; Richmond is not downtown Vancouver. If most plans are downtown, compare our downtown Vancouver lodging-area guide.
For Canada Line access, compare addresses around Richmond–Brighouse, Lansdowne, Aberdeen, Capstan or Bridgeport stations. Enter the property’s exact address in TransLink’s SkyTrain station and schedule guide or Trip Planner; “in Richmond” or “near a station” does not establish a door-to-door route. Tourism Richmond’s stay listings can help you find properties, but confirm location, room details and availability with the provider.
If an early or late flight is the priority, check the property’s actual route to the terminal and station. YVR’s transit page explains terminal access to YVR–Airport Station. Under TransLink’s current YVR Airport AddFare rules, some trips starting at airport-area stations and travelling to Bridgeport or beyond add $6.50; some fare products are exempt. Recheck the applicable rule before travelling.
For a waterfront visit, historic streets or a riverside walk, compare Steveston; the City describes it as a historic fishing village and visitor destination at the Fraser River mouth. Check each lodging address for its bus and transfer route to downtown or YVR. If the seasonal Richmond Night Market is a priority, verify dates, hours and the entrance on the organizer’s official site before choosing dates. Finally, compare the same stay dates, total with taxes, cancellation terms, luggage needs and late-arrival arrangements.
