At Los Angeles Stadium in Inglewood, California, Switzerland ran out 4-1 winners over Bosnia and Herzegovina in their second Group B match at the 2026 World Cup. The game stayed goalless for long stretches until substitute Johan Manzambi opened the scoring in the 74th minute. Rubén Vargas doubled the lead in the 84th minute, before Manzambi struck again in the 90th minute to complete his brace. Granit Xhaka then converted a penalty deep into stoppage time (90+7) to seal the result, while Bosnia’s only reply came from Ermin Mahmić in the 90+3rd minute.
The turning point arrived in the 80th minute, when Bosnia defender Tarik Muharemović was sent off with a red card for hauling down Breel Embolo, leaving his side to play the closing stages with ten men as Switzerland ran riot late on.
