Canada’s largest outdoor movie series, Evo Summer Cinema, returns to Stanley Park this year, running every Tuesday evening from July 14 through September 1 at Ceperley Meadow near Second Beach. Presented by car-share brand Evo and Fresh Air Cinema, this long-running event is completely free to attend, with a 40-foot screen, food trucks, and freshly popped popcorn on site.

Seating is first-come, first-served with no reservations — arrive early with a picnic to claim a good spot on the lawn, as films start 15 minutes after sunset. Beyond the free general seating, there are also paid VIP seating options for anyone wanting a more comfortable viewing experience or a date night upgrade.

For World Cup fans in Vancouver, this is a free and relaxed way to cool off outside the matches. Stanley Park is also home to the Seawall trail and the mini golf course mentioned earlier, making it easy to build a full afternoon-into-evening itinerary around the park. For more on what else the park has to offer, see the Vancouver travel guide; for the exact film lineup and schedule, check the official Evo Summer Cinema website.
