When you’re hunting for something to eat around BC Place, there’s now a more memorable option. Snack giant Tostitos has opened “Bar TOSTITOS” at Vancouver’s BC Place, timed to the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicking off at the stadium. It’s located on Concourse Level 2, Section 207, a food stand that puts tortilla chips in the starring role, and during the World Cup it will be open to fans coming in to watch matches.
One thing that’s easy to misunderstand needs to be made clear up front: although it’s called a “Bar,” its core is really turning Tostitos tortilla chips into nachos in all sorts of flavors, rather than the traditional kind of bar built around cocktails. The official pitch is using Tostitos tortilla chips as a “canvas” to serve up a lineup of nachos reflecting Canada’s multicultural tastes, with both the familiar home-style versions everyone knows and ways of eating that take international flavors up a notch.
The menu details published so far go like this: the nachos are served in a dedicated Tostitos FIFA World Cup 2026 bowl, with a base of Tostitos restaurant style or Tostitos gold tortilla chips, then topped with different global-flavor toppings. The items already named include Peri Peri Chicken Nachos, Island Jerk Chicken Nachos, and the most basic Classic Nachos. Compared with the standard concession snacks at a typical stadium, this menu has put some thought into “a bit more flavor variety.”
Another point I think is worth jotting down: Bar TOSTITOS isn’t only open for that short month of the World Cup. According to a report by Grocery Business Canada, it will first serve the match-watching crowds during the World Cup, and afterward it will stay on at BC Place as a permanent stand, available at concerts, all kinds of sporting events, and major events, with operations expected to run until December 2029. In other words, even if you miss the World Cup, the next time you come to BC Place to watch the BC Lions or catch a concert, this stand will most likely still be there.
There’s actually a layer of sponsorship behind why this stand exists. Tostitos’ parent company Frito-Lay (part of PepsiCo), whose Lay’s brand is already an official sponsor of the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Women’s World Cup, has Tostitos, Doritos, Cheetos and other brands in the sponsorship package, getting exposure in venues such as the pitchside boards at the matches. Landing a tortilla chip stand directly inside a host city’s stadium is a pretty natural extension of this sponsorship play.
For fans who actually plan to attend, a bit of added background: BC Place is hosting 7 World Cup matches this time, running from June 13, 2026 all the way to July 7, including Canada’s two group-stage matches (against Qatar and against Switzerland) and one knockout match.
