For Vancouver’s 2026 World Cup match days, the approach route, outer security entrance and stadium gate were distinct arrangements. They cannot be reduced to one universal entrance for every ticket holder. The host committee’s retained transport page identified Main Street–Science World as the main arrival point but said entry points could vary with ticket type, accessibility needs and other requirements. TransLink’s June 3 announcement described Main Street–Science World as the only place to join the Last Mile route and closed Stadium–Chinatown’s lower Expo Boulevard entrance on the seven match days. The station remained operational, with Keefer Place and Beatty Street entrances open. An open station exit did not mean that this particular notice authorised joining the stadium route there. A lower-entrance closure was not a station shutdown, and one Last Mile starting point was not one gate for the entire stadium. TransLink.
The retained host page also described an alternative arrival via Keefer Steps and walking approaches around Beatty or Dunsmuir. That differs from the June 3 wording about joining only at Main Street. The host page has no verifiable revision date establishing when the alternative took effect, so the timing must not be invented. Both documents retain their own date and scope. Main Street–Science World is on the Expo Line; the Canada Line does not directly serve it or Stadium–Chinatown. Rail lines and the outer walking route are different parts of the journey. The historical host page listed two accessible loading zones: Keefer Street between Taylor and Carrall, and Nelson Street between Pacific and Expo. Users had to display a SPARC BC permit or recognised equivalent. Limited golf-cart assistance was not a guarantee for every spectator. BC Place’s current FAQ calls its general barrier-free drop-off point the 147 Accessible Entrance, below Gate F on Pacific Boulevard, with no parking at that entrance. Bag rules also require separate treatment. BC Place’s current Stadium Policies expressly warn that FIFA World Cup 26 requirements may differ. General venue policy permits specified small bags as well as clear bags, with diaper-bag and medically necessary exceptions; it is not a clear-bags-only rule for every event. Present general dimensions or bag-check charges are not used here to reconstruct the World Cup’s historical rules. For a new BC Place event today, check its event information and the entrance shown on the ticket. The venue FAQ recommends using the indicated gate when applicable and re-downloading mobile tickets for updated gate information.
